Wet Stripping

Wet Stripping is the process of submerging an item in a caustic and water solution for a short period of time to soften the paint or varnish. The paint or varnish is then steam/pressure cleaned off back to the bare wood. The item will then need left to dry for a few days before refinishing.

This method is used mainly for interior and exterior doors, old painted furniture, garden furniture, cast-iron as well as other architectural pieces.
